We have an intimidating set of rally rules.  We need a more fun-oriented driving program, to include simple tours and gmmick rallies, along with simplified rules for the existing TSD and Monte Carlo types.  I propose to write new rules for submission at the next AGM.  I am soliciting input and suggestions for this effort.  Tell me what bugs you.  Tell me why you don;t do JCNA rally.  Tell me what you would like to do.

I was a registrar and runner for the 2023 IJF rally and was a driver in the AGM 2025 Covered Bridges Tour rally. I anticipate being a driver or navigator in the 2025 IJF rally in Georgia this month, and I've found a solo JCNA member from MI who has much better navigational and math skills than I, and would need a partner. It's becoming my favorite car club activity, and I especially enjoy being paired with someone who is traveling alone and needs a partner. I can't imagine anyone wanting me as a navigator without Google Maps at my disposal, but I am good at driving safely and taking directions. Check out the Jaguar Journal's November-December issue for John Corey's rally advice and start-to-finish offer to assist clubs with planning a rally.

My advice is to make the course easy enough for almost anyone to complete. Somehow, our 2023 one was far too difficult, and no one finished it; many gave up and returned to our gathering point to socialize. We aren't trying to recreate The Great Race, here 😎
